Dr. Uri Meller
Dr. Uri Meller is a child and adolescent and adult psychiatrist. He is currently an attending psychiatrist at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he practices outpatient psychiatry and school based consultation. Dr. Meller also teaches training child and adult psychiatrist as well as medical students.
In his private practice Dr. Meller integrates a holistic approach to treat psychiatric conditions and behavioral issues. He utilizes both psychotherapeutic modalities as well as medication management, while focusing on safe, empathic, and a curious framework that promotes wellness and self-discovery. Dr. Meller specializes in depressive and anxiety disorder as well as adult and child attention deficits and hyperactivity disorders, and sleep disturbances.
Dr. Meller completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia University, majoring in psychology and graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed medical school in Sackler School of Medicine and went on to complete his adult psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine winning the Davidoff teaching award. During this time, Dr. Meller was involved in clinical care, various research projects as well as a leadership role as chief resident. He went on to complete his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he served as the chief fellow for two years. He is also the recipient of the AACAP fellow travel award. Dr. Meller has published and presented numerous research projects in national conferences on the topics of mental health, integration and advocacy as well as international psychiatry and cultural dimensions of mental health.
Dr. William Nguyen
Dr. Will Nguyen is a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. He is currently full-time in private practice. He previously worked as a behavioral telehealth attending at Lenox Health Greenwich Village where he practiced emergency psychiatry and provided telepsychiatry consultations to regional Northwell Health hospitals.
In his private practice he skillfully treats a wide range of psychiatric conditions utilizing psychotherapy and medications when clinically indicated. His therapeutic style is an eclectic blend of relational and classical psychodynamic thinking, helping his patients toward greater introspection of their relationships and lives. Dr. Nguyen’s areas of interest and expertise include working with stressed, overwhelmed high-achieving students and adults suffering from difficult life adjustments, as well as those clearly not performing to their full potential due to psychological barriers. He also specializes in working with behavioral challenges of childhood.
He graduated from the University of Florida with dual major Bachelor of Science degrees in Microbiology & Cell Science and Psychology as well as a minor in Chemistry. He went on to receive his medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine. Dr. Nguyen moved to New York and completed both his adult psychiatry residency and child & adolescent fellowship training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center program.
Both our doctors have consulted to multiple school based programs including Fordham University, and the Bronx High School of Science, and have successfully assisted multidisciplinary teams to formulate and implement evidence based treatment plans.
